REAL ID

Real ID is a federally mandated identification standard for driver’s licenses and non-driver identification cards in the U.S. Real ID is designed to enhance the security of identification documents and as of May 7, 2025, is required to access certain federal facilities and for domestic air travel.

HOW TO GET A REAL ID

To get a Real ID, you must visit your local Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) office. You will need to provide:

• Proof of identity
• Proof of residency
• Social Security card

There is no additional fee for a Real ID.  Normal transaction fees will apply.
