Advocacy Organizations:

ANCOR

ANCOR is an association of community-based providers that works to shape policy and share solutions to strengthen the ability of community-based providers to support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.  ANCOR advocates for policies and regulations that empower providers to deliver better services to more people.  They also provide resources and information to help amplify the voices of people with IDD in the legislative process.

KFF

KFF is an independent source for health policy research, polling, and news.  KFF has five major program areas: policy analysis, polling, journalism, public health information campaigns, and health information and trust. KFF conducts research and analyzes health care coverage and access for low-income people, with special focus on the Medicaid program and coverage of the uninsured.

NASDDDS

The National Association of State Directors of Developmental Disabilities Services.  represents the nation’s agencies in 49 states, Puerto Rico, American Samoa, and the District of Columbia providing services to children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. NASDDDS promotes visionary leadership, systems innovation, and the development of national policies that support home and community-based services for individuals with disabilities and their families.

Disability Rights New York

DRNY is a not-for-profit organization that provides free legal and advocacy services to individuals with disabilities. DRNY is committed to enabling those they serve to exercise their own life choices and fully participate in community life.
